You're wide awake thinking of all the issues that you, as an HR professional has to deal with; unemployment claims, performance issues, FMLA, discrimination lawsuits, and now a new vaccine mandate.  Well, we have the perfect solution for you!  Join us on September 14th for our chapter meeting with multiple resources to keep your worries at bay.

Most employers have not entertained the idea of a vaccine mandate because they are concerned about:

-          gathering and tracking data on vaccination status,

-          how to evaluate requests for religious and medical accommodations,

-          absenteeism caused by side effects of the vaccine,

-          loss of unvaccinated employees,

-          employee moral and opposition to such a policy

Like it or not, all private sector employers with more than 100 employees as well as federal contractors will need to address these issues in the very near future. This program will include a summary of the proposed rules announced by President Biden on September 9, 2021, discussion regarding enforcement and penalties, as well as advice from HR professionals on the panel regarding how they have navigated adverse reactions to Covid protocols to date.

Please join us in welcoming Jon Eiden, from von Briesen, who will be discussing the above topic, as well as how to manage disciplinary actions to be successful in defending against unemployment claims as well as reducing risk at your organization through policies, performance evaluations and terminations.

Jon will also be joined by a panel to give examples of real situations they have been in, their different perspectives and tips to calm your HR nightmares.  Panelists include Lori Rausch from Great Northern Group, Monica Erdmen from the WI Department of Workforce Development and Chelsey Latimer from Alta Resources.
