FVSHRM is excited to be partnering with Peaceful Warrior Training Group to bring you an interactive three hour active shooter training.    

Breakdown of the training:

Overview of Prevention – “Hear or See Something, Say & Do Something” – Introduction and Explanation (40-45Min.).

  1. Intuitive Concern Training
  2. Visual Weapons Screening

Overview of Response – (1 hour and 40 minutes) “Move with Purpose” – Explanation and video demonstration of alternatives available to an individual during an active shooter/threat incident (A.S.I.).

Empower staff to better make decision during active shooter/threat incidents. This section will be accomplished via:

  1. Critical Concepts
  • “Permission to Observe and Act”
  • Immediate Action Drill for all Emergencies
  • “Permission to live”
  • Decision making “vignettes”

Lessons learned from past active shooter events and what we have gleaned from these events that can save lives during an active shooter incident.

Decision making under stress and how you can improve it.

How to make life and death decisions when time is of the essence.

Fear management techniques to help you do what you will need to do during an active shooter/threat to survive.

Malfunction and reload videos – Openings of Opportunity and what they look like.

Gun fire video – How to fight denial.

Video demo of how to and difficult it can be to break a window for a secondary escape.

Video decision making practicals to continue to build on participant’s library of responses.

Breakdown and explanation of active shooter responses and tactics within each category that will provide participant’s with tactical advantages during an active shooter incident.

When no other alternatives are available and you have to fight for your life - How to Fight with a Gunman/Threat (A, B, Cs of FIGHTING WITH A THREAT).

What happens when I grab the shooter’s weapon – Videos of live fire demonstrations of how to and what will happen.

7:30-8:00am Networking and Continental Breakfast
