If you are looking for a clear understanding of what diversity is and its strategic relevance to HR professionals and their organizations then you need to come to this event. This session gives HR practitioners an understanding of diversity and its impact on individuals and the businesses in which they work. Participants will leave with a clear sense of the scope and relevance of diversity and why it is of strategic importance.
Lee Gardenswartz, PhD, is a partner at the Emotional Intelligence and Diversity Institute and specializes in Management Consulting. Lee will guide us through a morning where we will accomplish the following:
-Gain an understanding of the depth and complexity of diversity
-Assess the impact of these differences for HR and at every level of the organization
-Understand how to use cultural differences to build connection
-Articulate a clear and compelling business case for diversity
In this session, we will look at how diversity is more than race and gender, How to find a culture connection amidst differences, and how to build a business case for linking diversity to our organizations success. Lee has consulted with clients for more than 25 years and some of her client base was as follows: Cox Communications, Progress Energy, Harvard University, and Starbucks. She assisted them in building more productive work environments. Her mission is to help people take charge of their lives and maximize joy and potential. Lee has co-authored many diversity books including: Diverse Teams at Work, Emotional Intelligence for Managing Results in a Diverse World, as well as many others.
